Mantras & Meditation

'Pure love wants nothing else but the emptying of your mind from all it's fears and the shedding of all your masks. It exposes itself as it is.' Amma

chanting of sanskrit mantras

The  word 'Mantra' is made up of two sanskrit roots: the word 'mannas' means 'finite mind' and the root 'tra' means 'liberation'. When mantras are chanted repetitively with a devotional heart and a 'surrendered ego' the chattering of the mind's fears and delusions dissolve into the Absolute. It is the infinite rippling of  blissful peace, love and Absolute consciousness beneath the surface of the tiny and finite mind which leads us back home.

The chanting of Sanskrit Mantras is a wonderful way to open up the inner voice and tune into the sacred sounds of the divine heart. It is a devotional opening of the heart which helps to clear the subtle energy pathways (nadis) of the individual soul and connect us to the universal Self.

It is often referred to as Bhakti Yoga...The yoga of devotion. It helps us to expand our awareness of the different aspects of divine nature and water the seeds of positive consciousness, so that we can start to unfold our true and radiant blissful nature.

An excellent prelude to deeply peaceful meditation.

People from all faiths are welcome to come and chant from the heart as in essence the divine seed is the same within all of us.

These are sacred sound vibrations which are extrordinarily good for the soul!!!!
